FNPS Gathering on July 11 - notes and discussions

An informal gathering of FNPS members met in Thonotosassa on July 11, and brainstormed numerous ideas for the Board, Council and members to work together for the mission of FNPS.  Numerous ideas were mentioned and the idea of A Florida Native Plant Month was discussed in more detail. A proposal is posted on the Forum for Board Approval at the July 23 Board of Directors meeting.  Other lists of ideas were created by several FNPS members attending  the gathering.

We are planning other "gatherings" around the state with the purpose of generating new ideas related to specific topics based on  the particular environmental and habitat conditions for plant species in the differing geographic land geological characteristics in the local area.
