Title: FNPS Grants Policy

To Interested Parties:
At the Feb. '08 BOD planning session, FNPS President Shirley Denton requested direction on what grants the Society should pursue (if any) and how they should be handled. Attached is a second draft of a grants policy for grants that FNPS seeks and administers.  The idea is to provide a strawman to get the conversation going. There are a lot of negatives that are associated with grants...bad fit with mission from chasing dollars, lots of paperwork, waiting on reimbursements, etc.  But there can also be some good things...important work gets done, organizational skills are improved, FNPS visibility enhanced.  Anyway, please review and provide feedback via the forum, e-mail to fwettstein@comcast.net or phone 850/921-7780.

Will alert my chap rep replacement so she will be prepared at meetings.  Joan
