What are chapters doing to mentor their members, if anything?

What do you define as mentorship?

What can we do to improve this?

This is a test entry:
Get some more reluctant members to co-chair some committees
Have a variety of ways members can participate:
Field trip chairman makes a Pre field trip Plant ID lists for participants, or prepares a scavenger hunt for specific plants
Tend a monthly garden work day, bring extra thinned plants home,
Participate in quarterly Adopt -a- highway clean up to also monitor seasonal flowering plants
Have members Collect seeds from our gardens to prepare outreach packets
Ask member to research and prepare a program on one native plant or write an article for the newsletter

The Palm Beach County Chapter does not have a formal mentoring program, and we are very interested in what other Chapters are doing. As for a definition of mentorship, Perhaps this falls under what we have wanted to do with our membership committee: in general greeting and speaking to all people coming to our monthly meetings to have them feel welcomed and giving new members a member packet.
Our chapter is partnering with Mounts Botanical Garden to maintain their native plant garden, and we reach out to our membership for volunteers for a monthly “Groom the Garden” work party. It’s a good learning opportunity, and snacks are provided!!
